This has a viscous and runny gel texture that quickly sinks into the skin. It leaves a hydrated skin finish that’s not tacky or greasy feeling. It layers well over other products without any pilling issues as well. Upon initial application, I noticed it replenished hydration to the skin. Over time though, I saw my dark spots slowly but surely beginning to fade away. The brightening effect from this are quite subtle, and, it took about 1-1.5 weeks before I started to notice these changes so this isn’t a fast acting product since the only brightening agent is niacinamide but it’s a proven ingredient to help brighten the skin slowly. This doesn’t have any added fragrance but there are essential oils and plant extracts that naturally give off a light floral and citrus scent. It wasn’t overbearing, and I found it quite pleasant. This didn’t cause any negative reactions to my skin either so that’s always a win.
