It has a silky finish without being drying or greasy, even after applying it in layers. It's not irritating to my skin, but it does have a slight vegetal fragrance. I tried it after putting a non-longwearing cushion foundation on, and it did take off some of my foundation, but I think that's to be expected with a sun stick. It's a little smaller than I expected, but that makes it perfect to fit into my pocket or my purse.
